THE DAVID YANIR TRAVELLING FELLOWSHIPS

The David Yanir Foundation for the Advancement of Colorectal Surgery in Israel is pleased to announce the appointment of sixteen travelling fellows for the duration of one week in the UK.  

The one week travelling fellowship will take place in London. The successful candidates will take part in Professor Heald's TME course in Rectal Surgery in Basingstoke.

This will be preceded by a three day colorectal surgical attachment in London. The programme will take place between the 13th to 20th February 2011.

 Candidates must apply in writing by 3rd November 2010  enclosing a CV and passport photograph and picture .

• Candidates must be qualified in general surgery
• Candidates must be fluent in English.
• Preference will be given to surgeons who have undertaken the Israeli Fellowship in colorectal surgery and are Members of the Israeli Colorectal Society.
• Particular attention will be given to young surgeons who are contemplating further colorectal specialization, and to surgeons in peripheral hospitals.

Candidates will be expected to provide a detailed report of their experiences in English on their return, as well as  write appropriate letters of thanks to their sponsors.

The foundation will expect a financial contribution of 2500 shekels from the candidates' parent surgical department /or hospital.
